This post is being made as Cid Darkwing the player and NOT [GS] Cid Darkwing; this is not an official position of Gree or of the GS team. Got that? Good.
My guild on S5 is led by a high level VIP who has used this technique as a workaround to “fix” crypt on multiple servers. Seeing it in action the last few days has produced a demonstrable improvement in reducing the number of grossly underpowered lines we are seeing. Unfortunately, it probably won’t help the lower level guilds who are dealing with the “single hero at Cyan 1/2 that one shots anything we send at it” problem (though it might—haven’t tested it). But for guilds wanting to rid themselves of all Orange lines when you have Cyan heroes, this is what you do.
No matter what, whether 1 phantom or 5, whether P4 or C2 enemies, ALWAYS send a full power attacking unit. Every member of the guild attacking every time needs to do this—no more 1v5ing weak lines. We have done this for 3 days in a row now in my top five S5 guild and the quality of enemies has increased enormously over each day. Yes, the coding is still affected by lowered defense lines in FP. This is a known issue and at best this technique is a coping mechanism. But as a McGyvered solution, it works pretty well. There’s something in the algorithm that picks lines not only based on FP offerings, but then adjusts to power versus power as well. By massively overkilling the weak selections it wants to make for you, this backup balancing mechanism is triggered.
