Damage - For a support hero, she packs a pretty strong kick
Energy Battery - She has two skills that boost energy and is great at keeping your team topped off
Gamebreaker - Currently one of the core gamebreaking heroes, for reasons that we will discuss below
Dragon - Feel free to bring her to dragon deathmatch
Tasty - She is spider bait
Reverent - She can be revived by Angel Dragon
Physical Attack, magic skills
Radiant Flux - Moon Drake's damage skill and part of the reason she's a game breaker. When she uses the skill she will charge it for 5 seconds and then fire a bolt that will damage every foe in front of her. She does pretty strong damage with this skill. Not enough to guarantee a team wipe with just this, but still will put a solid dent into all of her targets. The reason she breaks the game with this is that during the whole time she's "charging" she will freeze everyone to get the animation off. This keeps everyone locked down and ensures the animation will finish. Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't paired with her Legendary (discussed later).
Illuminate - Her first Energy battery skill and probably the first energy skill you'll encounter in the game. It targets whoever is closest to firing off their skill and gives them extra energy to help them get it going. The number starts rather unimpressive, but gets a lot stronger quickly. (To put in perspective, I currently have the skill level around 130 and it restores over 450 energy).
Blinding Light - Moon Drake's second damage skill. Not a huge amount of damage (usually about 1/3rd of her first skill), and randomly targets. But it's extra damage and it inflicts blind, so that's something. Not a great skill, but better than her basic attack.
Beacon - A vastly underestimated passive. Beacon raises Intelligence of her and all her allies. This is great for any allies that rely on skill power. However, many people forget that it also boosts magical defense for all allies, making tanks better at their job too. The boost isn't gigantic, but it is noticeable. A very worthwhile skill.
Overcharge - Moon Drake's Legendary, second battery skill, and the core of her gamebreaking power. Overcharge makes it so that every second that Radiant Flux is "charging" she is giving energy to herself and all allies. This seems simple enough, but the implementation is devastating. I'm going to break this down into 3 points:
- First - The Overcharge recharges Moon Drake, allowing her to fire her Radiant Flux off again after just using it. So once she get's started she becomes a machine gun, and that only takes a couple of levels of this skill and gets worse with time.
- Second - Overcharge charges up her allies, allowing all of THEM to fire off their skills. If you have enough conservation, they may fire more than once.
- Finally - The frame freeze I mentioned under Radiant Flux is maintained throughout the whole skill....except when an ally wants to fire off their white skill. So these factors together make it so that Moon Drake charges her skill, locks down the other team from doing anything at all, while your team continually fires their white skills.
I personally went ocean and tree, I wanted Drake to survive and cause as big of hits as she could. You can do river or bolt if you want, but honestly energy generation is NOT a problem with Drake.
Moon Drake is a universal hero, she can slide into any team and be useful, so honestly this section would be pointless since it would just list every hero in the game.
Note: Moon Drake cannot be countered once she gets her white off, so all of these counters are implying that the snowball effect has not yet begun.
Bone Dragon - Fear helps cut down on the time until Moon Drake gets rolling and works with other heroes to help take her out.
Spikey Dragon - Nearly all of his skills target the rear of the formation....right where Moon Drake sits. He also targets physical which is the weaker of Moon's defenses.
Void Wyvern - Similar to Bone Dragon but with some additional tools. His skills can actually hit Moon (as opposed to Bone who largely hits the front), but they are magic so Moon is more resistant.
Ninja Dwarf - He does physical damage, hits fast, drains energy, and targets high intellect heroes. He's your best shot.
Ambush Spider - A great counter if you can manually control her. If set to auto, she'll target other tasty heroes first.
Karaoke King / Spirit Wolf - Beat a gamebreaker with a gamebreaker. Shut down her skills and Moon can't do anything.
Dwarven Archer - She does physical damage and quickly, but she needs a big speed or power boost to take Moon out in time.
Rabid Dragon - If you can get his white skill off first, Moon Drake is a gonner.
(+) Great damage for a support hero
(+) You will pretty much never run out of energy on Moon Drake's watch
(+) Intellect boost is great for magical heroes
(+) Game breaking lockdown ability
(-) Low defenses
(-) If the lockdown is ever fixed, her usage is going to plummet.
