The rewards, the fun, and the competitiveness. As a VIP 0, it's hard to compete, but with some of the very few specific contests, I've been able to reach the top 1%'s and even in s9, ranked #23 for a while. With contests that are fun, it draws me to play even more. It has me stuck, eyes glued, rather than pressing a raid button over and over again while watching YouTube videos like a Tap For $ game. Rewards are at the end of the box, because having good rewards is like being in college. You gotta work hard sometimes for the rewards (your bachelors or master's degree or your PHD's or whatever), and it just ain't fun at all doing it (this applies to good rewards, boring contests). And at the end, you think to yourself. What now?
Once a week, usually weekends since it's mostly everyone's break days. Have contests on days where there are holidays, days that the work industry lets people off! This'll allow people to get the most out of their contests without feeling stressed. It's either once a week or once every two weeks for me. Let contests feel worth the time. Let em feel rare, and a once in a life time opportunity! Not have contests be like your everyday bread sandwich consisting of breadn' bread!
Be more generous, be more humble. Let the majority have a good prize, so everyone's happy. But of course, let the 1st place winner get more, because that person obviously deserves it. Dude or gal probably spent a lot of time and effort (either that or money).
I'd stick with the skin for 1%. Maybe add something valuable for 5% too, but not as good as a skin.
The main idea of this is to make the contests feel worth doing! Make em' want the prizes. Put a bar of gold in front of them and make em fight for it!
Probably the 6,000 something diamonds, and back when Gold Chests and Soul Chests were valuable, the 70 something gold chest prize along with a few soul chests.
Oh oh! And the frosty skin! (Although I didn't get it )
Depends on the type of contest we're running.
- Expedition contests should take at LEAST 2 n' a half days. At least in my eyes.
- Throw your money at the screen contests? (WOOPS W R O N G TITLE, I MEAN DIAMOND AND STAMINA CONTESTS) eh. At least a day. Maybe 2.
- Gear contests.... eh, about a day. Along with a double normal.
Oh gadshamit. Don't have any o' those. Ask @Cyberpope for a few of em. I'll name what's good about them.
