I know CS has been giving that advice. I don't fell it's warranted. Plenty of older/inferior device run just fine. Better even. That said, trying a different device can definitely solve the issue. I've not heard of this issue ever being traced to anything account related. It certainly appears to be device related, even if the exact why's are still elusive. I should also caution tho if trying a new device, be wary of any generic-brand devices. A separate issue, and extremely rare, but there have been reports of defective deviceIDs which possibly cause distinct affected accounts to be merged. If anyone does buy a super cheap device to try, play it with a new account for awhile. I would recommend logging in and out several times and trying the "Recover Account" button a couple times without real info before doing so with your main account.
