Not everything new is necessarily progress. That doesn't mean everything old fashioned is better. In this case, that old adage is wrong, dead wrong. "...words will never harm me" is a phrase that's only accurate if the "me" in question is speaking from a position of complete privilege. Events such as what unfurled in Ferguson, MO are a wake up call. Words contain and transmit ideas. Ideas sculpt the way ppl view themselves, the world, and other ppl inhabiting it. Ideas can contain ALOT of power. Whether it's on the micro scale like cyberbullying, or a macro scale like racism, words shape the lives of everyone.
While I consider this a very valuable topic which needs much discussion, it is somewhat irrelevant to the OP in this thread. Dragonsoul is a privately owned entity. The company's Customer Service department are the arbiters of what is or isn't acceptable on the game's available chat channels. Anyone finding objectionable content in any of these available channels is encouraged to report the offensive player. No one is required to justify what they do or don't find objectionable here on the forums or anywhere else DS. The existing UI is known to have some shortcomings in this department. Posted below I've quoted a suggestion which already appears in the master feedback document that GS go by. In the meantime, I will suggest that anyone who wishes to report another player for offensive behavior should try to include as much of the following as possible to facilitate CS's investigation of the matter: your server#, a screenshot of the infraction, a screenshot showing the popup which displays Name/FormerAKA/Guild/account-age information, (can be the same ss if you can get it to fit) if screenshots are unavailable include as much of this in the message as you can, also some reference to what time - including a Time Zone.
