The last two weeks some of our members have received different rewards. This week some received 2nd place and some 3rd place. Last week I think it was 4th and 5th.
Not only that but the points have gone funky. One hour before awards our points put us in first place and the second place team was attacking us. Then point differential was 31, if we lost 11 and they won 20 it would have tied (we knew we would be second). Now at check-in time the point differential is 9 (which would be 36 before balancing). That would mean that during their final battle the combination of their win and our loss would be 67. No win is 40 with a 27 loss at defence between last weeks #4 and #5 ranked teams. Not only that but it was much smaller than that at war finish. Our loss was 16 and their win was like 28 so before Sunday reset the difference was 13. .25 of 13 is 3, not 9.
A couple minutes before GW finish the third place team finished and so we locked in at second place. After war finished, yea, 2nd place. A hour later when the point reduction took place (it used to be .25(X-2500)+2500) we dropped to third.
Now, if it was the same point drop, our point spread would have decreased between us and 1st place by 75% but it didn't. Also, the point differential between us and third would reduce by 75%, rather than flip-flopping 2nd and 3rd.
Now, I understand it might have changed to a nonlinear balancing feature that takes place during the hour between awards and opt in for next GW, but if their was, how can some people receive awards based upon the final score and others receive points based upon the different rank a hour later? If it's changed, should it allow for teams rank changing, dropping to third?
For the sake of transparency, if there have been changes to the old formula please let us know.
If the rebalancing hasn't changed, then you've got a serious bug for at least the past two weeks.
