Ok my take on this.
This time last week we had the rank display issue. We've had it since Gree reverted to an old failed matchmaking system which was created before the facility to display starting ranks etc was added.
However this has always been classed as a display issue and nothing more. You've never actually faced the guilds classed as top 10 just because you registered your top 300 guild early enough do it to display you as starting within this bracket.
The matchmaking update clearly took effect immediately when we installed the update and is messing with guild's second battle. This is why I facepalm constantly that they give us another PLANNED update 4-5 hours AFTER we just had a 24 hour window where we had no war. Ignorance arrogance or incompetence - take your pick!
So this is how it's affected things.
We are rank 12th and we faced 11th in the last battle and then outside of top 200 in this one.
Killing You finished 7th and for their second battle are facing a guild even lower ranked than we are (a three digit score for whatever rank they are!).
Leaders and GawdAlmighty finished 5th and 3rd respectively and are both facing guilds between top 30-40 for their second battle.
Are we now being told to expect a full week of this nonsense then it should all work fine next week?
Has the display issue now been corrected? If so wouldn't it have been even more important to have gotten this update BEFORE this week's war started. Also if so why were we not told in the patch notes (amongst various other things we are aware of that have changed but we're not stated within the patch notes...as per usual under gree).
What happens if war is still this screwy next week? How long will we have to wait for them to change the system? I suggested previously that they could just change back to the matchmaking system perblue had left us with when gree changed to the one perblue scrapped in July and this would have been a far more satisfactory outcome for all concerned than using the one we just had for 2 months but they stuck with the option which gave the playing community the most dissatisfaction. This one surpasses it and goes into orbit if we continue getting matches like this next week. But if that is the case do we expect to keep it regardless again and have to suffer it for 2 months? You can bet your ass most players won't still be here if that is the case!!
