I, too, am receiving a lot of bad reports with the game's current version (2.12.1) not working with Apple phones. Going on a limb here, based on what I've read here and in game, DragonSoul in its current state is highly unplayable for Apple/iPhone users. It shouldn't have to be this way, I agree. There's a lot for players to do in this game (i.e. wars, crypt, expeditions, challenges, contests..), but they cannot participate due to the constant crashing. The game needs to be optimized for all systems. On the same topic, I understand that this report isn't just about updating the game via client side; patching is obviously going to be the best way to get the game running to the most recent version.
This isn't the case though. In my experience, I was crashing constantly after the 2.12.1 patch. I'm a v20 user myself, and I was wondering why this was happening. I eventually found my way back. I'll post my tips after this message. Hopefully it will help. It's unfortunate to hear that this patch has negatively affected the predominate of Apple users, and I hope this game is tuned better for you all. My best advice is that everyone should have their DS account linked to their Google account in case of an emergency. Here you go:
- Update the game to its current version
- Check for old & new shortcuts (remove oldest)
- Clear game cashe/force stop the game
- Restart your phone
- Uninstall & reinstall (link accts; last resort)
- Post here for helpful input if this works or doesn't
