Yes, there are some from other guilds but my point is that challenger is usually dominated mostly by players from a handful of the top guilds.

No, there is nothing wrong with it in Coliseum or Pit. My problem is with that happening in guildwars. If your top 10 towers are able to put together extremely difficult lines (for most players) like they do in Coli or Pit, then the other guilds won't be able to get enough points to win, even if they are top 10 guilds as well. This doesn't make the game more challenging for you, it makes it even easier.
Is it a bad thing that a few guilds could most likely get 12 wins on defense and make it impossible for any guild to every boot them from the top spot? Yes. Yes, it is bad. How exactly do you think the super guilds would have more losses? That doesn't even make sense. The top few guilds would still have the power to beat most other guilds just like in Coli.
I was referring to holding down the top spot in Plat 1, preventing everyone else from moving up. And I think this is done purposely by some guilds because I don't believe for a second that a team with around 350-360 power can't get into challenger for several weeks.
Its not a question of being hard to beat, it becomes an issue of being nearly impossible to beat.
No, I wouldn't be in favor of that. We don't need to go to extremes to make GW more difficult. There have been a lot of good ideas posted that would make it more challenging without ruining it for 90% of the players.
That's exactly what I could say about some who support the idea. It would make it much easier for them to win defenses than it is now. At the moment, even the top couple of guilds are lucky to get 1-3 defense wins. Under the system mentioned here, they would probably win almost all of the because most guilds wouldn't be able to get enough points to win.
Well, first no modifiers should be applied to offense. Attackers don't need them. As for modifers, I could probably create a list of them if I put some thought into it. One I would like to see is adding a shield (similar to horse) to certain heroes. Or maybe a modifier that drops a random minion (a good one) to help your team. Or maybe just something as simple as increasing certain modifiers significantly, like health or damage. The biggest issue is that the modifiers are pretty weak.
