You're right, it was patronizing. I'm sorry if that was inappropriate, but I felt that we were being patronized, so I responded in kind. I appreciate the updates, but I would appreciate action more. Your last communication about this might have been four weeks ago, but I believe my first request about this was more than a year ago. After a year of asking, being told that it was "put on a list" is a start, but it's not exactly the solution I'm hoping for. And being specifically told that we will be informed "when development begins" ... meaning that development HAS NOT YET EVEN BEGUN despite a year of requests... you're surprised that I'm not impressed that we finally made the list?
I'm aware that these things don't happen quickly. I work in tech too. And I appreciate your recent efforts at transparency, and that there are new people in charge who are taking a different approach. I hope to see results sometime soon from that. But you're wrong, my problem is not with visibility, if your definition of visibility is telling us that our issue has finally made the list. My problem is with the lack of results over the last year, and with far-overdue responses that really say nothing. My problem is with contest after contest, change after change, release after release, with the obvious sole purpose of increasing revenue without fixing the obvious problems that we have been all but BEGGING for... I hope you are going to change that, but please don't tell us to stop asking for things like this to be finally addressed.
And no, maybe you didn't say that in so many words, but that is the impression that I and others got. Thank you for letting me vent, and for requesting and listening to our feedback. If nothing else, that is a VAST improvement!
