Maybe it is some kind of newly arised incompatibility with your device if reinstall didn't solve this issue.
What I can tell you is that this problem only occurs for a minority of players. Therefore I got an proposal for you that will most probably resolve your problem:
The pre-requirement to use this solution would be that you own either a laptop or desktop PC.
Download a software called Bluestacks Android Emulator.
Install, start and configure it like you would do with any new Android device.
Go to the Play Store in there an download DS to the emulated device.
Not only that this will enable you to play DS on a big screen and using a real keyboard and mouse, it will also most probably resolve your persisting problem (since it doesn't sound like it would be related to your account).
I started playing DS in this emulator and apart from the occasional, not activity-related freeze or crash (happens about once every one or two weeks) of the game, I've been playing everyday since close to half a year now using this.
I strongly recommend you give it a try, nothing you would lose if it shouldn't solve the problem, but lots to win if it does - cause you don't sound like someone easily parting from our beloved DS!
