By rumor, I mean that the fix actually works. It seems to me that crypt generation is somewhat random - sometimes it's all orange, sometimes it's all cyan, sometimes it's orange on the first skull with cyan behind, etc. Lately (since the cap increase to 150), it seems to have gotten worse with more consistently orange lines.
If the theory of "team power used" is correct, it should be a consistently weak crypt since we typically have hit with lower power (due to 1 high powered hireling and 1 under-developed character). However, it fluctuates throughout the week. That being said, I would find it "surprising" that the power used in attacking the crypt on the previous day(s) would be factored into the formula for generating the crypt lines - seems to be a lot of unnecessary calculation in my opinion.
It also seems to me a case of confirmation bias if the results are not consistent. Since there is no "control", you have no way of observing what the result would be if you had performed some different action.
I'd really like the dev team to at least weigh in but I'm not holding my breath.
