You think you're tough
Overall contest - Scrap contests come down to one basic question: do the rewards justify me using a prized "double drop" and all my saved stamina? It seems that most people inherently like them but they do create a huge disparity between F2P and high VIP simply on the basis of the amount of daily stamina available.
Contest Points - THIRD TIME REPEATING THIS COMMENT - "It speaks volumes about the condition of the game when the only way to receive fight pit/Coli points are for other players to 'lower their defenses'". Fight Pit and Coliseum need such an overhaul to be relevant without having to lower defenses.
That being said, the adjustment to the point totals for this contest in coli/fight pit/expo at least made the totals generated from these categories at least worthwhile. In the past, the percentage was usually too small to be bothered.
Enchanting - A large majority of players already have maxed out their gear which defeats the purpose of this category. In addition, the points awarded are too miniscule to be significant.
Characters - I don't think anyone will complain about including Medusa as she is a staple for most players. Huntress was predictable based on her recent addition to the gameplay. I'm not sure I understand snap as he is so incredibly in need of a tune up that people haven't used him since getting to the low oranges.
Progress Rewards -
The Good = Bazaar Tokens, Stamina packs, Diamonds, Crystal Shrines, Normal Double Drop, Triple Threat stones;
The Bad = Coli tokens; 3 x Mithril Ore.
The Ugly = Orangle/Purple chests, (3) mithril, raid tickets
REPEAT comment - THIRD TIME REPEATING THIS COMMENT: Orange/Purple chests ARE USELESS! They have been USELESS since their inception. 99% of what I receive from these chests are items that I already have in excess of a 1,000 in inventory. If you choose to give these, it should be in multiples of 10 to ensure maybe 1 in 10 players will receive something useful.
New comments - Grind tickets (raid) should just be removed from the game and built in as a feature - and 100 Raid tickets, seriously!?
Ore - The 600,000 gold generated by the ore is the same that most players receive in 2 or 3 crypt lines. It's also the equivalent of 6 silver chests or 5 skill points. It's just not enough to be significant.
Rank Rewards - I'd like to see a contest where EVERY player has a shot at the top 5%. I know I'm asking for thought and creativity to be applied but generally the same players reap the same rewards contest after contest.
As with previous contests, the top 10% got decent rewards for their effort while the rest had no reason to overachieve.
Bazaar tokens, shrines, skins are generally nice. Most players are not playing this contest in the hopes of "Guild" tokens or soul chests.
Gold chests could be nice but they need an overhaul to be more relevant. 60-70% of gold chests drop 3 useless soul stones.
I would also argue that for a weekend (3-day) contest, the rewards to the 25% and lower categories were too low.
